History: Taizi was born in Konoha to Nara Tenuri and Nara Ramno. Ramno's house of the clan was often looked down upon because of his ancestor Nara Akuma, who was said to have signed a contract with the Devil to gain a great power. It was said that the Devil had granted to him a scroll that contained the secret to unlocking the power Nara Clan's of the Nara Clan jutsus, it was known as the "Scroll of the Karitekage". To seal the deal, Nara Akuma murdered his firstborn son and signed the contract with his blood. But Akuma soon found out that the scroll held major penalties for its use. It is said that once you sign the scroll with your blood that you would then be able to read and understand the jutsus written on it. The scroll becomes one with you and enters your mind and soul. It slowly took over Akuma's body, crazing blood to quench its thirst. Later, Akuma commited suicide, holding a dagger to is heart with his right hand and the scroll in his left. The scroll was said to have been hidden for the safety of the clan, aswell as other Konoha residents.
Taizi was always very kind and very bright. He was always a religious ninja. His parents had soon noticed his great intelligence and entered him into the academy at the age of 6. Although he was a year younger than most other students, he was still the top in his class. He graduated the academy at the age of 11 and was announced that year's Top Rookie Genin.
When he became a Genin, he was put on a team with Tonge Kajin and Kenzan Akadi. Bara was incredibly beautiful and Taizi and Akadi often fought over her. In spite of this, she had never shown any feeling besides friendship to either of them. The 3 genin had become best friends, despite the competition between Akadi and Taizi for Kajin's love. Together the 3 were known as the toughest genin squad of that year. Naturally with all the talent they possessed, they dared to challenge the Chuunin exams the first chance that they could get. Although neither Akadi nor Kajin got passed the first round of the final Chuunin Exam Test, they were 3 of the 4 genin to become chuunin of that year at the ages of 11 (Taizi), 12 (Kajin), and 13 (Akadi).
As Chuunin, the 3 often took missions together and spent as much time with each other as possible. People often began to wonder if the 3 were ever seperated. One day, after a mission they had completed, Taizi was visiting his mother's grave. Taizi was now 16 and his mother had died earlier that year of a sudden disease that had struck both her and his dad. Taizi's dad was still fighting against the disease, but with each day it could be seen that he was weakening. Taizi had noticed an unmarked mausoleum, with the door slightly cracked open. Taizi's inquisitive nature got the better of him and he entered the mausoleum. Inside he had found the coffin with the name "Nara Akuma" written on it. Below the name was a sentence that greatly puzzled Taizi. "Below the tree whose bark is torn, a new shadow will soon be born." Taizi noticed that from the mausoleum there was a tree that had had almost all of its barked removed. Taizi spent days and weeks searching around the tree for this "new shadow". He ignored mission, and even more suprisingly, he ingnored kajin and Akadi.
After several unsuccessful weeks, he had almost given up searching. He then sat down on a stump next to the tree, taking a rest and contemplating if someone had beaten him to this great mystery. He had then realized that when he was younger another tree had stood in this area that had looked like it was repeatedly attacked witha sword or some sharp weapon. After 4 and 1/2 days of searching, he found a little box that held but a single scroll and a note. The note read "Dear Someone, You have found the real Scroll of the Karitekage. Did they really believe I would hand over the scroll that I sacrificed my firstborn sin for? I now place this scroll is your hands, the path is yours to control....but beware, for the Ravens hunger for blood. - Nara Akuma". Taizi had realized the great power that he now held in his hands. He opened the scroll, but was unable to read anything but "Nara Akuma" signed in red blood that looked fresh although it had been signed years ago.
The next day, Taizi heard news that Kajin and Akadi had been found dead, supposedly killed by a Smoke Village Nin. Taizi ran to his friends lifeless bodies. He stood above them and swore to himself that he would get revenge on the one who murdered his best friend and his love. He soon became consumed by rage and revenge. To assure his victory he took the Scroll of the Karitekage and signed his named "Nara Taizi" in the combined blood of Bara, Akadi, and himself. He soon took off for the Smoke Village. Taizi had gone there to kill one man, but ended up annihilating the entire village and its population. Taizi soon found out what Nara Akuma had meant in his letter. The Scroll of the Karitekage allowed him to create shadow manifestations in the form of ravens. The ravens crazed the blood of humans and were hard to control. His corrupted mind caused him to view all the Smoke Nins as sinners who deserved to be killed and sent to the Devil himself.
After that, Taizi had been classified as an S-Ranked criminal. With nowhere else to go, he one day joined the criminal group of Akatsuki to help him quench his bloodlust. He has proclaimed himself as "The Divine Shadow" because in his normal state, his mind has become so demented that he believes he is helping God by killing and eating people who have sinned.
Hobbies: Training, killing and eating his victims, he also enjoys taunting and playing with his victims before he kills them. He often likes to pray and will do so even when fighting on occasion. He will go through towns and simply "purge" them of all evil, but every time he does this he loses more of his soul to the Ravens.
Personality: His soul is mostly consumed by the Ravens, causing him to have a very demonic and dark personality. But when his original self shines through, he is very kind and caring. He is very intelligent, and is not often blinded by his bloodlust. His mind is warped, causing him to see the smallest fault of another as a mortal sin. However, he finds no fault in himself, even though he kills hundreds on innocent people. He knows his own strength, but also knows that being overconfident kills yourself. He no longer creates bonds with anyone, thinking that they will only weaken him on his "mission".
