I had drawn a pic of it, but it isn’t that good and I have no idea how to scan an image onto the computer.
Special Item: pending
Rank: Hunter-nin
History:
Makai never got any attention. From a very young age, his parents focused on his older brother, Rengi. Rengi, being a prodigy, had a bright future ahead of him. Even at age 14, he had already become a respectable Jounin for the village. Makai, on the other hand, was only a small boy who was not even old enough for the academy. His parents took pride in their oldest son and almost completely ignored their younger child.
However, before Makai turned 6, Rengi was killed on a mission. His parents were grief-stricken and became even more withdrawn. Makai wasn’t deeply hurt. He had grown to dislike his brother for stealing all the spotlight. Being so young, he couldn’t understand any of the reasons his parents gave for their obsession with their older son. They loved him for his accomplishments, for who he had become. Makai didn’t know why it mattered, and eventually grew to resent his parents.
His parents eventually tried to relieve their grief. They turned to Makai and attempted to force him into his brother’s place. Makai quickly refused to become a ninja. He’d had enough of the crazy problems that had been caused by his older brother.
Makai ran away from his home. He traveled a short distance out into the desert before he encountered a missing-nin. The ninja had been from Makai’s own village at one point and had only returned to perform some act of evil on the village. The ninja decided to kill Makai, if not for the pleasure, then to keep him quite. Just before the ninja killed Makai, however, a hunter-nin intervened and quickly took care of the missing-nin. Makai watched in awe as the hunter-nin completely annihilated the rogue by simply immobilizing him with various tricks and cunning moves.
After the battle, the ninja disposed of the body quickly. The hunter then removed his mask and met the stunned Makai’s stare. Makai gazed in awe at the ninja. He felt as if he knew the ninja from somewhere, though he could not recognize the face due to the shadow of the mask. All he could see was the brilliant blue eye that seemed to pierce his body with its kind intensity. Makai slowly stumbled over to where the ninja had stood and found scroll half buried in the sand. He picked it up and opened it. He tried to decipher what was written on the paper, but could only make out an oddly specific phrase “your shinobi path starts here”.
Makai returned to the village and applied to the academy. He got in and began to study the basic of ninja arts. He sought to become like the hunter-nin that he had seen. For some reason, the fight had made what his brother been seem important to Makai. He no longer felt contempt for his brother. If anything, he felt guilty for despising his brother for his selfless occupation.
He made up with his parents, though he only did so because he did not feel able to survive on his own. He still didn’t like his parents. He now understood his brother, but that did not repair the rift his parents had created between them and Makai.
Makai entered the ninja academy as most young ninja do. He remained at above average in his class for most of the time. He studied incredibly hard, often passing out during his own training sessions from the stress. The studies were driven by his newfound desire to become a shinobi, just like the hunter-nin.
Makai became a Genin a few years later. He didn’t pass at the top of his class, but he wasn’t too far down the list. By now, he had already begun delving into the ways of Earth Style techniques. He had spent countless hours training, and it had paid off. With these techniques, he began his life as a Genin.
Makai’s squad was not a very impressive squad. Most of the missions were nothing special. The only mission that seemed significant at all was the most important part of Makai’s life.
Hobbies: (clans have to be applied for in the clan registration board)
Personality: Makai enjoys making others nervous, especially younger ninja. He appears fierce and dangerous to most. However, he isn’t a cruel person, once he breaks the ice. He is rather cynical most of the time, but deep down he cares about the people around him. He prefers to keep most people in the dark about his true feelings.
Wow, this feels short. Needs more work. I'll get back to it.
