History:
Pre-Academy
Rasen was born into the world renowned clan of the Hyuuga. Sadly he was born into the branch family, making it so that he would be doomed to a life of ill succeeded attempts to prove he was worthy. The fact that he was looked down upon and seemed to be worthless to the clan made his anger rise, and with it the resolve to become the strongest and most powerful Hyuuga who had ever walked the earth. His rival was the girl of the head family, Mistaito. She was his arch rival and hater to his very existence. Although in a sense they were brother and sister since their mothers were sisters, they did not acknowledge each other, or even wanted to for the fact that one considered the other the weakest and themselves the strongest.
By the time Rasen was five years old he had acquired a decent amount of knowledge of the Byakugan through studying constantly, learning all the specifics of the jutsu to get a better understanding of the jutsu when the need came. It truly did come one year later; however, when he gained access to the Byakugan, it was directly in front of the head branch members, who immediately went to restrain Rasen’s training from ever happening so that just in case his body was caught that they could eliminate anything about the Byakugan that might be acquired by someone else. The fact that they tried to stop his training failed to stop him. Rasen, after having received the seal of the Hyuuga clan was banished from the dojo, in hopes he would never learn the secrets of their clan jutsu.
With the Byakugan that Rasen had, he went into solitude and began to train furiously with it. Constantly building up its nature and making it stronger, training to better use the fundamentals to learn better control of the eye instead of rushing into the jutsu. It all had a purpose and through almost a year of training with the Byakugan, Rasen summoned up enough courage to steal a glance inside of the Hyuuga manor and watch any and all jutsu and styles of the Gentle Fist that were being present. He memorized the attacks and stances in his mind, and later recorded them down on paper to better memorize anything and everything in the future to where he could learn them, after learning how to better control the Byakugan to see even the smallest of insects that existed on the planet.
When Rasen was seven years old he was able to use the Gentle Fist style to a degree and his Byakugan was much better off than he would have ever imagined, all thanks to his strict training and powers of memorization and study skills. It was the fact that he would never loose to Mistaito that pushed Rasen to where he was. She was already in the academy when she had mastered part of the Gentle Fist style, leaving behind a small trail of dust for Rasen to follow, which he did with all the intensity and power he could muster, and using his fury at Mistaito, Rasen better learned the style of the Gentle Fist and surpassed even Misaito. Soon enough, after a month or two after mastering the basic stances and chakra control into his fingers, Rasen was sent to the academy by his mother.
Academy
When Rasen reached the Academy, he began to see more and more of Mistaito. It became infuriating for him because she always seemed to challenge his abilities as a Hyuuga, constantly calling him names, and saying he was nothing more than a loser outcast of a better branch of the house. Rasen endured the torture he had to go through for the sake of his mother, who he had promised not to lose his composure if something would happen around Mistaito. Although, it became increasingly obvious, that the tension between Mistaito and Rasen was growing, and a large apprehension of a fight soon arose in the academy. Along the grape vine was spread much deliberation that Rasen was going to fight Mistaito. It was word that reached Mistaito that Rasen was going to attack her that she ran to her father and told him about Rasen's abilities.
Through the infuriated father of Mistaito, Rasen's father was confronted by Tairo, the head branch leader and brother of Gito, the second brother who was forced into the branch family. When the confrontation of the two collided, Rasen feared that his father might say something that he would regret. For the fact of the matter was that both Rasen and his father Gito had the curse mark on their forehead, which would doom them to a life of solitude in order to to aggravate the head branch. The argument soon turned into a heated debate and almost afterwards his father, Gito, the lowly brother of Tairo, was killed. It was Tairo who did it saying,"His actions were unjustified and he tried to assault me while I was only protecting my daughter."
The reason to Rasen was not good enough, and from that moment on, Tairo and Mistaito became his worst enemies. Rasen soon despised and hated their very existence for taking his father away from him, and his life turned into a hell. He was left with his mother who soon committed suicide due to the fact that she could not live without Gito. All the actions towards Rasen he completely blamed them on the head branch, for stealing away everything of value away from him. His family was ruined and he was left to live among the Hyuuga in the Hyuuga manor, alone and only a small child of being at the age of 8 years old. The pain from his parents deaths broke something from deep inside of Rasen and he become irrationally calm for a boy who had lost the only two people who had truly cared for him. Whenever someone saw him, they would be able to see, even though his eyes were white, an almost haunted look into his eyes.
The feeling that arose from deep inside of Rasen formed into his deep hatred of Mistaito, and pushed him to new limits to learn every and all Hyuuga style stances, fighting abilities, chakra control, and last of all their jutsu. By the age of nine Rasen gained the ability to have mastered the second phase of the Gentle Fist style while Mitsaito began to fall behind, despite her better trainer. Whenever Rasen spied on someone, it was at the peek of his sight, to both gain more control over the Byakugan and to better prove himself more powerful than anyone else. He mostly spied on Mistaito and Tairo whenever they trained to better learn the complicated stances, and even, the beginning of the Byakugan jutsu, which Rasen took up the task to perform alone and by himself. In the event that he would give up, he would punish himself and keep the spirit of power and strength alive. It took him not but a couple of more weeks in the academy for Rasen to pass both the top of his class, and become a genin faster than Mistaito.
Genin
After Rasen passed through the academy with the top of his abilities, which was actually large due to his now re found abilities with the Byakugan and his skills of learn fast with a photo memory so that he can copy the techniques down on paper and mask sure he masters them. While being a genin he was assigned a squad with of course two other genin and a jounin. Yuri, Ortis, and Rito-sensei were his squad make up for the future. It was the desire of his sensei that they all showed off their basic skills, and if wanting to, show off all their skills. Ortis went first; in front of Rasen's eyes, he was all but a hyper active show off who only wanted to best him to prove himself worthy for Yuri, who for reasons unknown to Rasen, kept taking glances his way. The factor of love did not exist to him so he did not know why she kept staring and asking him questions about his past, in which he answered to the truth, and only made her like him even more. The constant attraction from Yuri began to make him slightly nervous.
When Rasen and his squad members, after two years, became twelve years old, he and his squad had already achieved more than twenty-four D-rank missions, sixteen C-rank missions, and 2 B-rank missions. However, the B-rank missions were considered to be rather A-class later on after specific review of the squad members. It was at the fault of Ortis that on one specific B-rank that it quickly turned to A-rank due to the casualties of what happened during the said mission. The constant failure of Ortis pushed him to try and strive for a greater aspect during the mission, but he failed, and in doing so put his squad members in mortal danger, especially since Rito was not there o lend them aid from the attacks that ensured during the mission.
On the B-rank mission that Ortis screwed up on, and made the reviews change it to a possible A-rank mission, Rasen and his group were sent to protect a princess from harm while they traveled from the land of tea, the Mist village so that the princess could speak to her father about important matters, it turned out later that her father was the Feudal lord of the mist country at the time; however, he was assassinated three days after receiving word that his daughter was going to be there. The mission was simply protect the princess from possible shinobi attacks, or probably bandits or road thieves, searching for a possible person to steal from. The reason why the rank of the mission changed was due to the fact that they were well hidden and waiting for a place to leave to get the princess away from a threat in front of them that Rasen identified with his Byakugan.
Rasen's abilities with the Byakugan but his sight range was only 50 meters at best, and at the time to him it was pitiful. What Rasen failed to notice was that there was a ninja standing behind them. At this time, Rasen and his team mates were alone while they waited for their leader to catch up, Rasen ordered that they wait just to make sure nothing happened while they did. A kunai was thrown from behind Rasen, and luckily for him the sound of a boot stepping on a twig was all he need to turn around. A kunai was thrown directly at him, and he was about to stop it easily in mid-air until Ortis jumped up with a kunai and blocked it. The sound of metal up metal clashing was all that was needed and immediately Rasen and Ortis that were now out of their hiding spots, were targeted by hundreds of kunai.
It was as if they were unable to move, Rasen thought as long as he could about what to do, while Ortis stood there in stock fear, thinking of how his demise would not mean anything at all. Rasen would not have someone die while he was leading them and jumped forward, blocking the kunai with his body. Rasen himself did not intend on dieing, for his still had to prove himself better than Mistaito. Rasen's body began to glow a deep blue and he began to spin wildly, a large burst of chakra flew into the air and went off like a beacon for their jounin leader. The Hakkeshô Kaiten blocked off most and almost all of the kunai; however, what Rasen did not anticipate that a late kunai was thrown as his jutsu finished, and stuck him directly into the chest, right above the heart. It was miraculous for the Hakkeshô Kaiten diverted the course of the kunai higher than where it originally would have landed. In the instance that the kunai hit, five separate screams of agony resounded across the field and second later Rito ran forward and held Rasen into her lap while she forcefully pulled out the kunai and began working on the injured body part.
When Rita reached Rasen, he was already on the ground. She picked him up into her lap and began to apply pressure on to the wound. Yuri explained everything that happened from the time they stopped into the ditch, and to the time that Rasen used the Hakkeshô Kaiten. It was all very hard to Rita to listen to and turned her head to Ortis who was crouched down next to Rasen. When she was about to speak Rasen spoke first and stopped her from saying what she was prepared to say,"It is ok Ortis...its not your fault." and with that Rita slowly pulled Rasen up so that he could look at Ortis before he continued,"I know how you feel towards Yuri, and while I do not blame you for these happenings I only blame myself for what has happened here today." From when he spoke that, Rasen lost consciousness and was forced to stay behind with Yuri, who was to escort him back to the village of Konoha, a days walk from where they were, and get him medical help while Rita and Ortis continued the mission and finish it off.
After Rasen recovered from the incident, he was pulled away from his squad and Rita was there. She told him about joining the Chunnin exams, and all he was capable of. She thought the instance when he did not blame his team mate was exceptionally well thought out. It was not his honor that drove him to become a Chunnin, but he accepted the question that Rita later asked him, if he wanted to be a Chunnin or not. He was still angered at Mitsaito and the Hyuuga clan, and so he eagerly joined in to prove his worth. The exams however proved not to be for him, due to his team mates errors, he never made it past the second exams due to Ortis' inability to keep a hold of their scroll, and by the time that Rasen came to track those who took their scrolls, they disappeared into the tower, stranding them without a scroll and making them back out of the exams.
Rasen and his squad never went into the exams again, both due to the fact that he refused to participate, and that he refused to allow his team mates face danger like they had done. That decision was short lived due to Rasen's next mission. The mission was intended to kill their master Rito, as a plot, and in the plot the Grass country hired the group on another B-rank mission to eliminate a C-rank missing ninja. The truth of the matter was that the C-rank ninja was truly an S-rank ninja. The idea was to lure Rita out of Konoha for the missing ninja to attack, and that is exactly what happened. When Rasen's squad arrived in the Grass country they were immediately greeted and housed before they were to take on their new 'mission' to destroy the missing ninja.
During the night there came a scream from beside Rasen's room. Instantly he was awake and looking through the wall with his Byakugan to identify what was happening. Rita was standing with a kunai buried deep in her chest and a man standing in front of her with a grin. Rasen quickly looked to see the damage, and was heart stricken to see that the wound was fatal. Rasen then looked at the chakra circulatory system of the man and found a very vast amount of chakra, realization spread fast through Rasen's mind,"We were set up like flies to the light. was his thoughts as he ran through his door and into Rita's where the man was about to deliver the final blow. This was something that Rasen would never allow and jumped in front of the man, catching the kunai with his bare palm, making it so that his hand took the full hit of the blade instead of Rita.
Rasen grabbed the hand that held the kunai and rose his hand into the air. He struck palm first into the man's stomach. He yelled with fury as he pushed the man against the wall and took his stance, jumping with so much speed that he should not have been considered a man after what he was doing,"Hakke Sanbyaku Rokujûichi Shiki!" he yelled out as he began the move, the greatest in strength, in the Hyuuga clan as he pounded mercilessly on the man, striking tenketsu after tenketsu. The sound of Rasen's fury drowned out the sound that came from the S-class missing ninja, and the agony coming from the ninjas mouth was extraordinary not to be heard. Yuri ran in just in time to see what was happening, and came in to late as she watched what was happening at the end as Rasen pulled his fingers back and pushed them forward, screaming at the end,"THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-ONE STRIKES!!!!!!!!!!" he yelled out with so much pain in his voice that Yuri burst out into tears just from the sight. At the end the man fell back, dead. Rasen had closed all the man's tenketsu in the body, obliterating any chance he had at surviving. Rasen's back rose and settled down with each inhale of breath. The pain it took him to kill someone was great, but his resolve to be next to Rita, his sensei. while she died, was greater than anything.
Immediately after killing the man, Rasen ran over to his sensei, grasping her like she did with him. Tears of regret and pain came from his eyes as his Byakugan once more scanned her organs. Although Rasen did not want to believe it, he had to, and had to accept the fact that Rita was going to die. Before that she called over Yuri and Ortis, seeing that Rasen was already there. She gave her words to Ortis and Yuri, and saved the last for Rasen, and these were her words to him,"Rasen, your heart is pure, do not let what happened tonight cloud your mind with hate...take your Byakugan to the next level like you always said you would, and become the best you can be." was all she could manage before coughing out a large amount of blood, ending her life by raising a shaking hand towards the sky. When Rasen watched the hand fall, it was in slow motion, tears flooded down his face, as he accepted the words that came from his sensei,"Yes ma'am...I will do as you wish." he said picking the body up and after packing up, Rasen and his squad left the Grass Country with Rita, returning her to Konoha so that she could receive a true burial.
Jounin
After returning from the mission, Rasen would speak about the entire thing, not going into seclusion anymore, he wanted that kind of stuff to be torn from his world forever. After realizing what he had done with the ninja, and listening to the words of his jounin leader, that only prompted Rasen to learn all of the abilities of the Hyuuga, increase the power of the Byakugan past anything know before, and protect everyone who would be in danger. It was with that fact that Rasen returned to the dojo of the Hyuuga. During his entire time there, he was still a genin and gained looks of pure distaste from the other Hyuuga members as they watch him walk to where Tairo was perched. Upon reaching Tairo, Rasen bent down and bowed to the lowest form in front of the master Hyuuga,"Please...you have killed my father and my mother is dead, just recently my teacher was killing, and in return I...killed an S-class missing ninja." he said and immediately everyone looked at him in surprise. Tairo stared at him long before responding,"If this is true...why do you wish to learn from me?" he asked, what Rasen failed to even understand was that Misaito now a disappointment from the Hyuuga clan.
Tairo stared at Rasen as he responded,"I come so I can protect those who I want to!" he yelled out in the position. His hopes were staked on this one time, and after a heart pounding consideration from Tairo he answered as such,"Do you promise to bring the Hyuuga clan name honor with all the teachings I am about to give you? And promise that you will only use the jutsu taught against those who threaten your life and others?" he asked, knowing that Rasen was never one to accept such proportions since in his past he was forced to be alone, but the prospect of it was that there was no way he would deny such an offer. Rasen slowly rose into the air and took off his head band of Konoha,"I accept." he said lightly as he walked forward and stood in front of the head member of the Hyuuga branch and kissed his ring. The fact that he still did not have 'honor' did not mean he did the things lightly, and he knelt down in front of the master afterwards.
Tairo was about to respond again but was quickly interrupted by a knocking at the door. A small genin at the age of what it looked like twelve ran in carrying a message which he now handed to the now sixteen year old Rasen. He slowly read the note and what it contained. Again Rasen read the letter over, and then again, and then again. A look of pure shock was etched into his eyes as he looked at Tairo and handed him the letter. The letter itself was addressed directly from the Hokage. It bore the news, saying that for Rasen's actions and need to protect his team mates, and team leader, and the need for new jounin in the village, presented him with his new ranking of Jounin.
Tairo read the letter and handed it back,"This letter carries information you should take well, and for your new promotion I accept you into the Hyuuga dojo, and your training..." Tairo broke off as if in thought and then continued,"Will start as of now." and with that the master Hyuuga jumped forward, activating his Byakugan and attacked Rasen with an extended palm that thrust forward, and hit Rasen in the chest. The two of them went on like that the entire day, constantly Rasen was out matched, and constantly he stood up and fought back devising ways to defeat the old master, but whenever he tried to get ground on the man, he always lost it right back. The master of Hyuuga was a strong opponent indeed, and for the next ten years, between variation of missions, Rasen would always go back to the dojo to learn all he could, constantly absorbing the information and powers faster than he normally would have if he was by himself watching the fights proceeding. Over the span of those ten years, Rasen literally became a master that proved with his hard work and determination, and not letting the past or anything of the future get to him, that he could succeed and pass through it all with flying colors, and of course the added bonus of his powers.
After his ten years of training, Rasen had develed deep into the needs of medical knowledge and applied himself accordingly for a span close to thirteen years. To do these experiements, he left Konoha, but kept full allegience with the village. He went so far as to experiment on himself through various things. Sometimes he would break an arm and see if he could mend it, or cut himself on purpose during a training exercise to emphasize on his medical ninjutsu. He even went so far as to create various medical ninjutsu that defied what he should know. He even went to the extremes to having experimented on his body, and with completly adverse effects from a jutsu, literally froze all the cells in his body from growing further, much like stopping time for his body. That was when he was twenty four years old, and so now Rasen's body will forever remain and look twenty four. That does not mean that he will not die. But he has accepted it the fact of a cruel twist in life to have cheated himself. Others would have cut an arm or leg off to gain the results that he had gained.
Hobbies: Studying various medical books, training his already highly adept Byakugan and abilities with it, enjoy life, and drink tea.
Personality:
Rasen is a very self centered and controlled man in everyday life as well as in dangerous ninja missions. He does not loose his temper easily and knows what it is like to loose a loved one, having lost many himself he would do anything to make the pain go away from anyone who feels the same barren emptiness in their hearts if they were to ever experience it, even take that pain into himself. Often he is known as a very gentle man because of these actions, and caring. Sometimes the other jounin call it weak, but he calls it important that others know that they feel his pain, and that it is not their fault for the actions of their loved ones. The loss is hard, but he tried to have others adept to grow stronger and better because of their pain and sorrow, instead of falling into a deep depression.
Rasen is very kind and generous but can be very strict if need be, that will be shown with any students that he might gain in the near future. He was taught in his past that people who are young mostly think they are stronger than what they believe, and thus he proves them dead wrong, even if it means he must fight them. Most of the time he is kind and patient, but if you test his abilities you will soon more than likely be more hurt than more satisfied.
He is even the ideal teacher, because those who are insulting and arrogant can try and push their sensei far, due to the fact that Rasen takes well to insults and does not hold anyone from insulting him at all, rather lets them. If someone is angered, then Rasen will exploit it until they have released their bent up anger and then continue on from what he was talking about. While he was training, Rasen took up learning to maintain a person's life, due to his inability in the past to stop a death, he wanted no one to die if he was there, and through the Byakugan, he understood he could easily save someone if the need came to that.
