Deep in the beauty of the village hidden of the leaves. The hokage throws the village into a buzz of activity. Many do not know the real reason behind it. It can range between various things. The Hokage can decide they wish one for a special occasion, to raise the morale of the village, or just let everyone take a day to spend time with others and have a good time.
Everyone from the various villages are allowed to come to this festival to meet the others of the villages. Fuedal lords, even other kage come to this gathering to meet and talk to the Hokage. It is a speculation of a good time. Security is at its highest in the village. ANBU from all the villages are on patrol every hour. If anything was to happen the village elders and leaders would know about it almost instantaneously.
The festival is as old as the village and contains various things from exotic foods from the other villages. Sake and imported beverages. Games and entertainment is no except. Dancers, gypsys, singers, and bands. It matters little who comes it is all about the fun. For all the ninja out there, the festival has a friendly tournament anyone can sign up to enter. For saftey purposes there are branches of the tournament for children, young adults, and adults. The adults is strictly eighteen and over and is potentially dangerous for those fighting.
The festival days go on for a full week. On the last day of the festival, there is a mass gathering at the end of the day around the Hokage mansion at he beginning of the twilight of the various people from around the village come to see the extensive collection of fireworks. These are no ordinary fireworks which are custom made to do anything. Some are flying dragons that collide into each and burst in a mass of sparks and explosions. Some are normal while others are flashy and amazing. At the end of the festival itself, the hokage will present themselves in front of a stage and as a special treat admit actors to play a theme for the festival. When the curtain closes from the play, the festival is at a close and the festivities are then released and everyone can go home with the fond memories of what they achieved in the festival in the village hidden in the leaves twilight festival.
